The Trattoria del Passatore opened in 1998 in the heart of the old town of Santarcangelo di Romagna, just a short distance from the tufa caves and ethnographic museum. The first courses available here are all prepared using traditional handmade pasta and include tagliatelle, cappelletti in broth, ravioli, passatelli and strozzapreti - all served with excellent seasonal vegetables and the best qual . . . >>>
The Trattoria del Passatore opened in 1998 in the heart of the old town of Santarcangelo di Romagna, just a short distance from the tufa caves and ethnographic museum. The first courses available here are all prepared using traditional handmade pasta and include tagliatelle, cappelletti in broth, ravioli, passatelli and strozzapreti - all served with excellent seasonal vegetables and the best quality meat sauces, which recall the flavours of the dishes adored by our forefathers. Customers can also enjoy specialities prepared using truffles, the king of the table, as well as some long-forgotten dishes like tripe, pasta and beans and grilled meats. There are also delicious T-bone steaks, Fossa cheese and cheeses from San Patrignano dairy, served with jam and honey. With the same commitment as the famous Passatore (a local, Robin Hood-like figure) stole from the rich to feed the poor, the Trattoria del Passatore has rediscovered the flavours of Romagna of times gone by. <<<
