Along with his wife Verdiana, Pier Luigi Pasini (Slim) has without doubt helped to consolidate the history of fish restaurants in Cesenatico. After gaining considerable experience elsewhere, a love for this area and a great passion for cookery, helped set up this intimate, cosy restaurant, situated opposite the Municipal Theatre. There are very few tables, amongst which “Slim”, with his culinary skills, enthusiasm and warm hospitality, narrates stories relating to the dishes and local seafaring traditions. On request, special full-day cookery courses are held (for a maximum of 7 people) that deal with everything from buying fish at the local market to the final dinner, where the dishes prepared are served. The restaurant menu favours freshly-caught fish, which changes with the season, and produce suppliers are listed on the menu. The restaurant serves sweet-and-sour fish, marinated sardines and mackerel, delicious schiaffoni (a type of pasta) and mussel fritters, seafood risotto, macaroni with scampi, crab in tomato sauce, pan-fried fish with vegetables or traditional grilled fish. To end the meal, there are homemade biscuits or sorbet.
The wine list offers a selection of quality local and national labels and a few bottles of champagne.
